And we will never look back at the faded silhouette...

Sooooo, if you are keeping up with me you know that I have been slacking a lot lately, there are reasons, but no excuses for it.
I got back out there today with a two mile walk/run. Tomorrow will be a run/walk...
I have reduced my soda intake again to get back on track, and with the help of my multivitamins and hydroxycut I will be back on track quickly...
The moral of this story is that you can always get back on track and start again, always. We are all human and there will always be bumps in the road, but it is the way you recover from them that matters.

I gained a few pounds back in the last few weeks, I will lose them.

Thanks for reading and please comment!

Crockpot adventure!

We are currently living in a hotel room so I'm having to get creative with cooking, so I made pulled pork. Three ingredients & six hours to deliciousness.

Mug root beer
Hunts hickory BBQ sauce
Pork tenderloin (pork roast can substituted)

Set pork and root beer in crockpot on low, five and a half hours (sometimes six and a half depending on crockpot)... drain rootbeer , shred and add BBQ sauce, continue cooking 30 more minutes and viola! Pulled yummy pork!

Goodnight and good luck on your journey!

The Dr Pepper Strike

No MORE DR. PEPPER! No more I say!
There recently has been more drama in my life than I ever care to have, so I have been drinking more soda than I should! I was down to no Dr Pepper almost every day at the first of October and now I am up to two a day again! I also have not lost a pound this month! That is the power of DRINKING YOUR CALORIES! That is a super duper big no no! I will get myself completely back off of soda by the end of the month. I have also aquired Jillian Michaels Body Revolution, which I will start tomorrow when it is finished downloading. We have been living in a hotel for the last couple of months (love the military) which makes it hard but NO EXCUSES! EVER!
Also Jogging stroller udate: Scarlett is getting restless and wants to walk and not be pushed, so I now have to go walk when she gets sleepy so she sits still, also my hubby has been taking over at night so I can go to the gym for an hour a night! I WILL WILL WILL get back on track... the jiggle has to go! Wish they made a workout to get rid of boobs, because I hate them. That is all...

Sorry I let those of you down that I motivate usually... I will be back on track. NOW.

My little tazmanian devil!

My beautiful baby girl added this beauty to her face this morning, how you may ask? She decided to jump off the bed to her face! You would think that she would NOT return to the bed, but as soon as the pain and tears subsided she tried to go right back! I would not let her and she got really upset, downside of being a mommy, but it was for the best! This little cutie is the light of my life, I love her and everything she does! She is WAY to brave and tough as nails...
I know this post has nothing to do with my weight loss journey but it needed to be shared!

Why Water is so important...

I know, I used to hate water too, I literally LIVED for Dr Pepper, craving soda constantly... but I will say the addiction can be broken and if you are committed, it can take as little as 3 days to break. In the beginning of my journey, the first thing I did was break my many sodas a day habit, that was all, no working out, just one week no more soda and 8 glasses of water a day! I Lost 3, yes 3 pounds just by doing that! Does wonders to your face too! No more soda bloat! I bought a large jug that fit my daily water intake in it and began drinking one a day, now I have no problem getting it all in! I feel better, get sick less, and my skin looks amazing!

Try this challenge, it is amazing and can kick start any weight loss journey!

Being dehydrated can kill a workout, so make sure you are drinking it before, during and after to give your body back what it is losing! If you just don't like the taste of water like I didn't, they make amazing water additives in the juice aisle, even Gatorade, orange is the one I love! :) You can beat a 10 calorie additive as opposed to 150 calories in a can of soda!

Hope this was helpful!

Getting Started... the story of how Fat Brittnee came to be.

Let me just get started saying that I used to be very in shape, I know I know, everyone says that, but really, I was VERY in shape. I danced every single day from the age of 2 and maintained a weight of under 105 for most of my teenage life.
Then, Life Happened. I graduated high school and went off to college, out to make my own decisions about food and health, no more daily dance classes or home cooked meals. I managed to go from 105 to 145 very quickly. With my 5' 1 frame that was a massive fat attack to my body. But, that isn't all, 6 months into college I met the guy of my dreams, the one I now call my husband. Love makes you do all sorts of crazy things, and in my case, gain MORE WEIGHT. I was now a solid 160 and growing. I was definitely not aware of just how fat I was getting and continued to be oblivious for quite some time.
Fast forward to July 2010... 6 years after meeting my man, we have been married for 3 years and decide it is time to get pregnant! At this time I weigh a good 179 pounds, which I have had on me for at least 2 years. I had no desire to get in shape so I went along my merry fat way. It literally took us about 3 weeks to get pregnant after we decided it was time, with no ovulating schedule or anything, we were just really lucky and apparently ready for a baby. I gained NO WEIGHT for the first 4 months of my pregnancy, even dropping quite a few pounds and by April 2011 she was here! Scarlett was such a blessing!
I weighed in at 190lbs after giving birth to little Scarlett and was extremely depressed about it! I think this was about the time I finally realized something needed to change if I was going to be able to keep up with this little one! I had a c-section and my body took quite a long time to recover from it. By December, not dropping really any weight I was 189lbs and steady... New Years was coming so I decided to make a resolution... YES THE TYPICAL "LOSE WEIGHT" resolution, but I was serious.
I told myself I needed to get healthy, I needed to be around MANY MANY more years for my little girl and I also needed to be a better role model. This really got my butt into gear. I found a true love in zumba, starting once a week... dancing is one of my true passions. I thought it would be easy since I had danced my entire young life, but not exercising for 7 years had really taken a toll on my body so once a week was all I could handle!
Fast forward to the present... today is September 25th 2012, I weigh in at 171 and steadily losing... I created this blog because I continue to get people asking me how I am doing it and I want to share it with everyone who is curious. With a lot of will power, MORE WATER less soda, healthy eating and a WONDERFUL JOGGING STROLLER, I am making it happen day by day, I didn't get fat in a week so I don't expect to get thin that quickly either!
